The After School Program begins in October and ends in April, before MAP testing of each school year. Students in 5th and 6th Grade are invited to attend when they meet the specifications of the Carrollton R-7 School District tutoring requirements. The library offers enrichment and tutoring programs that touches on the different subjects. For example, students enjoy math bingo, scavenger hunts in the library, kids in the kitchen where they learn science and math when measuring and preparing food. A highlight for the students is making and erupting volcanoes. 5th graders have their programs set on Tuesdays and 6th graders meet on Thursday from 3:15-4 pm in the lower level of the library. CPL After School Program is funded by Bank 21 since its inception in 2007.
